I would just like to take the time to say...I love my state.

But seriously, it has been quite a scary time. My best friend's house was about a mile away from one of the nearest fires. My girlfriend's mom received an evacuation order, but thankfully the fire was knocked out in about an hour (that one being set by an arsonist who rammed a Highway Patrol cruiser evidently).

My Updated Blog

My family lives near Santiago canyon, and could see the flames a few miles from their houses. They stuck the pets back inside the house because they were "sneezing" from the smoke in the air.

Things are looking better, at least for upper southern California. This smoky haze is covering everything, even making nighttime driving a difficulty that it shouldn't be. There's still a hint of smoke in the air, but most is being blown out to sea. Hate to see how San Diego faired when everything is contained.

Well I am looking at the sky now, and either its cloudy (thank god since we have had santa ana winds and like 100 degree whether for the past week) but i still smell smoke, and when i open my car door, ash falls, so its not all gone yet.
