Yes, exactly!

I went to up my plan at t-mobil today and seen I only had 3 months till my plan expired but I really needed to up my mins and that reqire a 1 year contract renewal so what to do...

Well the kind ppl at t-mobil reminded me that I could buy an unlocked iphone and just use the t-mobil sim card and I'll still be able to use my "my fav" option as well as my text and net that I currently have on the sidekick.

Alissa is on cingular already, and it's paid with her work.
She'll be getting the new 16gig version when it comes out, I might get one later but will at least get to play with hers for a while..lol

I doubt Apple will be releasing an unlocked version in the States, as they have the exclusivity agreement with AT&T.

I'd like an iPhone when it comes out, but it's currently only going to be sold by Optus & Vodafone, both of which have NO 3G network down here.

You'll love the iPhone Brandon. My wife and I both have them and we couldn't live without them. I am able to check all of my email (25+ accounts), plus check in on my sites using safari and even mod my forums on the road!

The new price is amazing. I paid $800 for our 2 phones, and they are worth every penny. At $199, it's a hell of a deal.

Blackberry's are cool for sure.

The touch keyboard takes about a few hours to get used to and then you're ready to roll.
Mind you, I didn't come from a Blackberry, so there wasn't any transition for me regarding the different keyboard style.
