Hiding ?

D******** q****** I like your style.
Only a couple of weeks back I warned a girlie {on some daft wimmins site} to change her name. A quick search threw up everywhere she was a member of [she had got a right wierd name, so panic stations off!] and with a bit more time and effort, you'd be surprised how many "locked" forums you can get into.
This is meant as a security warning ! I have never used the same forum name since.

p.s
30 secs between posts ? I have to pre-do mine
a) my comp could fall over at any time
b) I have to keep logging back in ??

Ei ?? Oh yer right, no-one can actually login with your name & pass.
But what I was trying to say was, odd ball names like Vialdana, (lol next googlie she does, she'll be straight in here,) is trigger words, and you could if you wanted to, build up a profile of someone, and following the links I can get into most forums.
Other means of entry are, old cookies set by fav's.
So if you used something common like John Smith, no-one could find you.
Big Brother is watching. LoL Bran, by tomorrow, you'll have 200 odd John Smiths in here:2smile:

Re: Hiding ?

Right.

I hear you. There are hundreds of G_Man names out there, so I suppose if you did a google, you wouldn't know which ones were me and which weren't.

Interesting point... *goes off to think about it*

You could use G_String_Man on certain types of sites.
