It has nothing to do with what your site does. It is looking only at eyeballs that could find your site. Heck the big thing I got out of it was that I need to charge more for advertising. 
Now given all that I'm sure no one would actually pay $6000 for my domain. vBSetup Team

Looks like the value went down...I was in the mid 20k the last time I checked that site and I've gotten better PR and Alexa rank since then... Oh well :P
