When I first got my template, I must have messed up a half dozen times on my pages before I got it all figured out. I am in school for this, so it's becoming easier to work with the more I play around with it.

There are a lot of nice templates there. They also offer their services if you need help with customization. It's costly, but may be something to look into as a last resort.

Hopefully mine won't be too tough as I'm looking to basically do a glorified splash page with some links and ads built in.

I use Frontpage all of the time and love it. it definetely has some proprietary features, but overall you can edit the code or just use the wyswyg features. I use Frontpage 2003 which is really powerful.

I used to use Frontpage and found it okay but now I have dreamweaver and find it great. I'm still getting used to it, but I do recommend it.

I spoke with a friend of mine this weekend that has some experience with DreamWeaver and wants to help me with creating the page.

So, I'm happy that I'll have someone that has some knowledge of coding and hopefully will help me achieve the look that I'm after.

That's great Arny, it can be kind of a steep learning curve with these programs but just keep at it and you'll soon be turning out great designs

I avoid frontpage. Make sure it's not trying to make extensions and crap. Try Kompozer.
