I've found a new favorite CMS

Open source of course!

ModX is absolutely amazing. The learning curve is pretty big though i've been tinkering with it for my new site here for a few hours and i'm just scratching the surface of it

I think i'm in love

MODx Content Management System | Home

After testing for about 12 hours, its a pretty big PITA to get up and running, and it seems a lot of features that should be there are only half way completed and making everything a lot more complicated.

Maybe something to keep an eye out for further down the road in a couple versions.

But for now, i'm testing out e107 CMS if anyone has used that yet?

Re: I've found a new favorite CMS

If you want a suggestion I would suggest trying drupal.org | Community plumbing or Joomla! for a CMS. They are both very well supported.

Re: I've found a new favorite CMS

I tried drupal and its another wonderful CMS but i had a hard time getting a "article" like feel from a lot of it. and its go way more then i need for this project. and I may go with Joomla as i've seen "articlish" sites done nicely with that before.

Thanks for the suggestions though

I guess it depends which template you go with. Themes | drupal.org I haven't worked much with Joomla but heard good things about it.

Re: I've found a new favorite CMS

I know, i know.

I'm probably going to have to switch to wordpress for this project. Getting Adsense in these e107 templates is a disaster so far, its a shame cause its another nice CMS, but not much of a community.

Wordpress!
