just got back from AIC/Velvet Revolver
My girlfriend called me on her lunch break today and said we're going to the Velvet Revolver/Alice in Chains concert tonight. We were VIP's and got it for free from her work.
It was sweet, we had a waitress that was continuously fetching us drinks and anything we wanted, and we were only like 75' or so away from the stage.
as for the bands:
I was really not impressed with Velvet Revolver.
Alice in chains though, was just pure amazing. I am a huge AIC fan and was a big skeptic going in to the show with the new lead singer, but He really really surprised me. I'd say they were the 2nd best I've seen live only to Tool. Just simply amazing. Some songs he couldn't get the exact layne staley sound like in Sludge Factory, but other songs was almost exact. I give the guy credit.
Oh, and god was the opening act EMO as hell. Killing Hannah I guess their name was. The lead singer said this ( I am not making this up ) "This song is for all the boys and girls whos hair is a disaster today because of the humidity"
