Brandon,

I decided to install the same link directory you have here on your site and I am running into troubles. I am having the same problem with my store during checkout too.

I try to log in to the link directory admin and it thinks for a wile and then prompts me to open a .php file instead of directing me. Is this some simple database/hosting/.php setting or permission that I don't understand?

sounds like a server issue to me, if your able to download a .php file

hmmm. If I checkout, it tries to open checkout_process.php instead of giving me the confirmation page and in the link directory, after entering my username and password for the admin login, it wants me to open index.php

I am going to try and hunt what to fix here.

I would send a support ticket to your hosting asking why you can dl .php files while your hunting ;)

Well, some google-ing figured it out, and now perhaps this is one more piece of information added to the community here for searching...

GoDaddy.com Servers SUCK! This is apparently a fairly widely known issue with the way their servers handle information. I have run into too many situations with bugs with how a program works and the help I find ends up pointing somehow to GoDaddy.com not allowing certain functions that are crucial to an effectively run website.

I am looking for a new hosting service immediately. I am not rich, but I want a reliable (and easy to use) service. Recommendations?

I've known godaddy sucks for hosting for a very long time

I use and strongly suggest Fluid Hosting: FreeBSD and Windows Hosting

ps. a little searching will find a few threads about host already ;)
