Making certain areas closed to...

guests. Is that good idea or bad idea?? I've got a few areas on PC101 that I think might be of value and wonder if I shouldn't close them to guests. The idea being to encourage people to join up!

The one/two areas I'm talking about are the Tutorials and/or Links.

If I add a SEO (Link/Download) area too, should that be closed off??

What do y'all think??

if it were me, I would keep it open
and if the content is that good, I would build some back links to it
over time you'll get more referrals from googls..

but then again, if you can get guest to sign up from this then why not.

I would do this.. if it's new, I would let it get spiderd, add the link to that are into your sig on all sites
let it get spidered for 4 weeks, then close it off ;)

that way you'll get some search engine referrals and you'll get guest to sign up.
