Newsletters: Sparse vs Dense
Well, I've created 3 or 4 threads today here at vbulletinsetup.com. I haven't been here in over a month mainly because I've been in the middle of a big php job. (I STILL am!).
Anyway, today I received a tiny little one sentence email that said "New version of vbulletin out". It was enough to get me over here and make a post. Of course, I put on my vBulletin hat and thought of the 3 or 4 things I've had in the back of my mind. So anyway, I'm actively participating today because one little tiny email with info that I would have gotten the next time I logged into my Admin CP anyway.
This is interesting because my newsletter is a bit "cluttered" I guess. I always try to cram more stuff that I probably should. Maybe just one little sentence, if userful to the user, is enough.
What do you guys think? Do you have more success with short and sweet newsletters or big, dense newsletters that look more like magazines?
