Overheating problem?

So i built my computer, put the thermal gel on the processor and everything, got everyting up and running fine, everything ran for a day or two now and i decided to test my hand at over clocking

Now it runs for about 30-45 minutes and then shuts down, i've got 2 fans in there plus the processor fan nd power supply fan so i dont see how cooling is an issue and there is a ton of space as well nothing is cramped or stacked on top of each other.

Or maybe i dont have a big enough power supply? Any suggestions

Not sure, never messed with overclocking to be honest. Did you pre-spread the arctic silver (or generic of it) out before hand?

I had a overheating problem once, and it was because my heatsink fan was disconnected from my processor because one of the pieces of the plastic holders for it broke off randomly.

If I was going to overclock I would have more fans. The heat a processor overclocks preduces is brutal...You have to have cool methods. Also does your mobo monitor tempture. If so on startup check the settings most new ones have it in bios....

let me know your specs I will see if can help

The temp usually floating at 38C whenever its loading sometimes lower, and while its running the CPU monitor software isn't working correctly yet, I'm still working on sorting that out as well >.<

How is the BIOS controlling CPU fan speed? Try changing that option and see if it works.

Ps. is the motherboard from Gigabyte?

I've got it nailed down to not having enough juice for every thing, i unplugged my video card and used the on board video and everything runs like a dream, so i'm going to upgrade my power supply to something better
