From time to time on various forums we post pictures of our workspace. I just posted these pictures on my DJ Forum under the title “ODJT’s Misson Control”. I always like showing off my desk, it’s where I spend a lot of my time.
When I got home Thursday night, I couldn’t wait to setup my desktop again so I plugged everything in and ran it. Friday I tweaked the setup a bit. Now I have my laptop and desktop on the same table. My desk is really 2 - 4′ folding tables. For me they work better than a desk as the open where you put your legs under the desk is never really big enough for me to swing around in.
This layout is working okay for me. I still think the one table is a little cluttered while the other is basically empty put I like to keep an open space where I can at least write when I have to although that’s rare I still like the open space.
In the near future I’ll probably change it around again and put the laptop on the table on my right hand side like I had it previously as I’m not to hept on having my main monitor on a slant it hurts my neck after a while. Plus reaching my laptop’s keyboard is sometimes I chore and I often mistake my laptop’s mouse for my desktop’s and vice versa.
Please excuse the wires, I’m going to clean them up once I figure out exactly how I’m going to set up my desk. I’ll add more pictures when I do. | Click for full size. soon though, next house will def have a garage. i have a big shed, i would take pics but we have golf ball sized hail here right now, its crazy Re: Post your Computer Desks/Work areas We have a two car garage and it's barely big enough to fit both cars. So, not too much 'man space' there. | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
