Problems with firefox?

Anyone else just update to 2.0.0.8 recently?

I did yesterday morning, and now every time I attempt to start firefox I get a windows error message, and it happens like 6 times and I just click "don't send" on the windows error message until it finally opens normally.

Anyone else having this problem with FF 2.0.0.8, also, is it possible to overwrite .8 with .7 so I don't have to deal with this?

Re: Problems with firefox?

No problem under Linux with the update either.

You may want to trash your firefox profile, you will loose all your bookmarks and extensions but you can always reinstall.

Your FF profile is located under:

C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\Mozilla\

You will need to have "View Hidden Files and Folders" turn on in folder options in order to see Application Data. Just delete the whole Firefox folder, it'll be like your starting from a fresh install.

Hope it helps.

Re: Problems with firefox?

I had problems with it originally (taking rather a long period of time to respond) but after a re-install, it was all good.

Re: Problems with firefox?

Hello rick, please don't dig up old threads. Firefox is already at 2.0.0.14 if i correctly recall.
I'm sure his problems have been fixed.
