Training


Anyone into training here?

Well, this week I will start running.
2.5km every second day, after a few weeks I will start running 5km two times a week.
In school, we will also run 2km or 4km. This will also help me, so I can skip running on the spare time.

Any tips for me so I can get the best out of my training?

I don't want any fat muscles, I just want to be in good shape.

I will start also when I have this project finished and as the sun sets later each day I will do this around the evening.

As you said yourself, first begin easily then build it up. Discipline is a good test.

Thats good !

Just like vesica said...start out slow and build up. To add on to that, if you want improve you can not be afraid to push yourself a little (just not too much :p). Also don't give up on it or you will lose most/all of what you worked for.

I play a lot of sports (Tennis, Soccer, Hockey) so I keep in pretty good shape. I also try to ride my bike long distance here and there; plain running has never really appalled to me for some reason.
I do not really lift weights, but rather do non-weight exercises like isometrics, resistance ropes, push-ups and sit-ups.

I'm not going to lift weights (if not necessary).

ya....weights can led to injury..well more often anyways, and they can be expensive :/

It is adviced to firstly get known with the weigth exercise by a trainer.

im doing someting like this.
Im planning on biking half across canada, so to prepare im going to change my diet completely, eating more fruits and veggies, and drinking more water.
biking at least 3 hours per day,pushing myself to the limit the wholetime, then then ill goto the pool and do 50-60 laps, then go eat a prepared meal to benefit the workout i had just done.
the tour ill be taking is from Kelowna BC, to Geraldton ON. that approx. 2,900 Km's/1,800Miles.
ill probably be camping on the side of the highway. :P
then ill keep that shape and do it again the year after with my buddy Andy ^_^

That's very nice, I would take some friends with me though, I mean it would be scary to camp near the highway :o.

I do a lot of weight training for football. We have a highly trained trainer at our school that helps out NFL players. We have to go if we want to stay in football. Although, I have been skipping to do my studies:p We also do a lot of conditioning to keep up our stamina and all.
