vBulletin Modder Finally Listed In DMOZ

We finally have our listing in DMOZ. They butchered the description and took the keyword vBulletin out of our name, but a link is a link I guess. It's funny to note which sites are not butchered that got in.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how many backlinks we get once the other directories that get their data from ODP update their databases. We should know in the next few months.

oh... I think I submitted fotofanatix about 7 or 8 weeks ago. Had forgotten and seems they've forgotten about me too!! LOL

You need to make sure you follow the guidlines exactly. They don't usually accept newer sites.

Yes. I checked and double checked. They do state that sites must not be 'under construction'. I had over a 1000 posts on the site at that time, but it might not have been enough. I'll try again some other time. Right now still working that "content" angle. :wink_d:

I submitted to them a few years ago and I got an email from a guy saying he was a reviewer and my site didnt meet the criteria because they werent listing forums.
He was downright arogant IMHO. Anyway they listed my site without the forum eventually with a butchered description. Humans!! lol Apparantly they are listing forums these days. I havent wasted my time checking my site with them since that time.

I didnt even know they were crashing and burning.
