So I had my computer up last night, had media center opened on one screen, and a bower and outlook opened on another screen.
All of a sudden my screen starts flashing and then it goes black!
I reboot a few times, finally get things back up, didn't even think to check the screen res or anything like that. Then the flicker again and black.
I've since reformat/reload with the recovery script in the PC. My install CD's are at the endlaws, 45 mins away.

So I'm still getting a black screen, after the green load bar
Good thing I have the laptop and an extra XP box, but I want my fast vista back

anyone with experiance with the black screen of death?

Sorry to hear that.

I have my Father's laptop that I've used quite a few times with Vista. But, I haven't experienced the 'black screen of death', thank goodness.

ya, I don't get it?
I moved my box and one of the screens to the place we tried recording the podcast at. The only thing I can think of, is a video driver or something. Because I can pull up the recovery screens and the loading bar, but nothing after that... Oh wait, I just ran a memory test, said nothing was wrong and now it's rebooted.
Well I don't have time to set it all up right now, but that's what I'll be doing for the next 3 days..lol
Wonder why it did that?

ya, it's an issue when I use both monitors, and not sure if it's with media center, but I'm usually watching tv everytime it starts actiing up.
I've reloaded it a few times now, I'll be a bit upset if I can't use both screens!
