So who exactly gets busted ...
1/ The poster who posted the whatever?
2/ The site owner who published it or didn't remove it?
3/ The website host who sells space and bandwidth?
---------------------
It could well be high time for something to be done.
You'd be singing a different tune if you were the victim of a Google bomb or some rival forum slandered the living chit out of you.
This area needs tidying up. The net is now media, just like TV and newspapers there has to be some control. If papers print slander they are as liable as the author, there's some onus on professionalism and accuracy. However papers do print opinion.
Many times editors have their column where they have their say. However in their say they tactfully ensure they do not slander or denegrate their target ... saying is go hard on the situation not the people.
I see it as a plus, currently the net is full of scams.
Now have a look at this scam I busted, it was shaping up for a good milking of peoples purses even with YouTube ads. read all the posts.

If you go to the YouTube site you'll also notice that I posted my warning in the comments after some suckers thought it was a great idea.
Now the irony is I contacted Youtube that they were assisting a scam ... never heard a thing and the vids still there.
So, as a forum owner I checked and validated, but sites like YouTube even when alerted dont give a hoot.
Yes, it's time for change.
