I'm taking a networking class this semester, is anyone else is school ? if so, what class ?

Cool on the networking Brandon!

School is tough when you have a monster of a forum and home responsibilites.

But it can be really rewarding as well.

Last semester, I took a interesting website class. The instructor was really good and the focus was on CSS. I liked it but was constantly playing catch up and kind of just half heartedly got through it. In the middle of the class I ended up going to a tradeshow and then that just got me off schedule. I passed the class I think I got a B+ but it wasn't my best work thats for sure.

This semester my friend is urging me to take accounting..(again, to run the financial biz end of the forum) I know I should but I really want to take business law or a server class. I would like to be able to adminster my own server. I have some past experience-- but not enough to be able to not have anyone to turn to when something goes wrong.

I also would like to start moving forward to being able to be a technology laywer..even if it takes 10 years. I have what seems like a billion credits of nothing..that I just transferred in from BCC to OCC here in Washington.

So my dilema is... do I take the accounting class..the biz law class or just bite the bullet and take both???

Anyhow, congrats on the networking class and come back and tell us everything you know so we don't have to pay the big bucks..lol

I've been wanting to go to college forever but traveling isn't fiesable, it's about an hour each way and on campus housing is like living in the middle of a war zone.

Come January, I'll be taking an advance Mircosoft Office class at my local adult education center., I want to learn my way around Excel a little more. I got a small business certificate from the same school.

I'd like to take a web class but the school I'm going to doesn't offer a very good class IMO. I'd hate to pay a grand and be taught how to make a hyper link in html..lol

I took a pc repair class last year and this networking class is the 2nd year from it. I'm more of less taking it to learn how to setup a home networking and work on my family pc's.

I'm going to be starting a BMus Music Degree next month. A 4 year course which should get me a nice Music Degree with Honours

I would like to do some good courses on networking and design but time just doesn't allow

(Also watch out for ICT/Web related courses as many are out of date with current trends and standards)

What do you plan to do with your music degree ?
The reason I ask is I just see a music degree sorta the same as an art degree. My wife has 2 degrees in Art and now she works for an advertising firm..lol
She does paint as a hobby tho, I hope you're able to get a solid job with the music degree.

My principle study is composition so I hope to become a professional composer or a music theory tutor. Depending on what happens I might study further to masters.

There are alot of opportunities out there. You still need to be pro-active once you've got a degree to get into a good job.

Also it does matter where you get your degree from. A music degree from the royal college of music in london is worth alot more than a degree from a standard university.
