I quit smoking 3 years ago. I used Smoke Away. It worked great and recommend it to anyone.
I now have a rare lung disease and it was not caused by smoking. Go figure. |

Yeah, the tumor that I mentioned above wasn't caused by smoking either. Go figure.
2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with another lung tumor. Biopsy determined it to be benign, as was the first one. I'm on a cocktail of meds now, to shrink it so they can do less invasive surgery in a few months.
The meds make me nauseous. |

| Re: are you a smoker ? thanks sweetie. I'll be ok. I had to have major surgery the first time around because the tumor was so large.
This one was caught while it was smaller... about the size of a small tomato. And they have meds now that they didn't have 12 years ago. |

| Re: are you a smoker ? This first week they've made me very nauseous. But what're you gonna do? I have to go to work anyway, can't take off, can't afford to.
They gave me something for the nausea, I have to pick it up at the pharmacy this afternoon. I seem to be ok so far today |

| Re: are you a smoker ? I smoked for 8 years and quit 9/14/87.... on my way back from South Carolina to Alabama. I was sick as a dog and threw an entire pack out the window. All that coughing and hacking.
I smoked pot for 20 years or so. Early on I just smoked it all along. Maybe just when the right friends (or should I say the wrong friends) were hangin' around. Then several years after I had quit smoking cigs I started growing it. It was there all the time.... so, I smoked every day for years. Funny thing is supposedly a joint is the equivalent of 5 cigarettes... and I probably smoked about a joint a day in a pipe. So I really never quit smoking if you look at it like that.
Finally came to my senses, what little I got left anyway. Our daughter was getting to the age she might notice it, my parents moved next door to us... and I realized I really needed to quit. So I just quit and never looked back.
It seems nothing is done slowly for me... I quit drinking in the late 80's. Of course I never drank much anyway... a sip, shot or beer here and there. All I drink now is coffee.
My parents still smoke, in their 70's, hackin' every day. My mom irons my clothes every now and then and when she brings them to the house I have to hang them out and air overnight. They will die with a cig in their hand. |

| Re: are you a smoker ? Owch at sweetheart, makes me feel awful to say, Yes I am a smoker, and I dont know how I'll cope when they start enforcing banning of smoking in pubs and public places next year. I even buy those plastic nicotine inhaler things when I fly. |

| Re: are you a smoker ? I smoke and have smoke since I was 14 now I am 36... I have tried to quit several times, my only advice to you is you will only quit if you really want to.
The reason I could not quit is because the wife will not quit, so it kinda turns ugly whenever I have tried.
The last time I went for 3 weeks, and was really doing well....But then I had about 3 days off work, and couldn't stand it anymore so I lit back up.
If she would quit then I could.........at $38.00+ dollars a carton I need to really bad. |
