In the effort to get more traffic to my web site I started a New York blog about it today.

I see that it does not qualify for the free vBulletin link directory here.

What are some sites and/or directories where I can add some links to the blog?

The vb directory is for forums only, that's why it was denied

About the blog directories, I submitted to this one
Blog Directory, Blogs on Blogged
but I still don't see it with their search
With your url being a blogspot one, I'm not sure if you'll get into this directory.
You might try some of these.
blogspot directories - Google Search

You might be able to submit it to a lot of the normal link directories as well,
