Blog - things you might want to know ---
Ever since I first got involved with the net (arpanet) I've been intrigued with the process of leaving "sticky notes" on someone else's computer and telling them why I left them a sticky note, warped I know ...
But this whole process developed into a passion for blogging
and furthered my passion for marketing on the internet.
I don't mean to be wearingly dull or tedious here just explaining why anyone would want to post on a internet journal, my kids think nothing could be more boring and tell me so frequently.
Let me share a few things I've learned along the way, some of which you may find surprising.
I could spend many hours on this subject, perhaps even days but I'll make it brief and to the point as I can.
Major difference between blogs and "many" dynamic sites (including forums), static sites.
There is no word per page limit.
Many people believe that Google likes 350 to 500 words per page. Not if it's a blog, in fact blogs are viewed completely different then normal sites. Many of the same rules of SEO that are used daily to build and advance site rankings do not apply to blogs.
Though Google and MSN (both of whom I have little respect for these days) have indirectly denied this is true however, Yahoo has several times admitted this openly without any reservation, so as in any good conspiracy theory the reasons for telling us or not telling us the truth will be obscured under a ton of misdirection or flat out lies and of course this is all justified under the rules of fairness as decided by SEs.
The point I was trying to make here before I started ranting was that if you modify your blog and posts you can and will find your blog doing far better then other blogs and dynamic sites.
Best,
Ringo
