So I finally got my template for my wifes blog that I bought a while back..

There are a few bugs that I guess I'll have to fix myself

first remark knowing I ue 56 k (yes I know... nothing else available here), site took 56 scs to load and it wasn't idle...
Reload was better since cached from now on
The header took quite some time to load, no clue why
then the few pics on homepage, over time maybe get a random selection, makes it more vivid each time someone comes back.
Maybe try to change navbars red with a copy of header texture ??
For me it is all to square. Your blog front here would suit more her site I think, some kinda randomness.. more artistic puzzle then the normal flow top to down

Ask her if blog entries a little like patchwork isn't nicer for an artist...

we made the logo, and i seen it was a bit big.. I'll work on thinning it up some.

she is pretty happy with the layout, so I'll keep it how it is for now.

The only thing I need to do is, fix the thumbnail comments on the main page.. They work great in the gallery, but not the main

I like the over all feel to the site and the color combos.

You already mentioned the gallery on the sidebar has issues. Do you plan on always linking right to the larger .jpg? I would consider linking to a page that tells more about the piece, wrapped in your normal header / footer. Is the goal of the blog to sell the art? If so, have a price and make it easy to buy. Linking right to the jpg turns me off. I would also resize the smaller images to take up the full width of the sidebar, the images seem a bit on the small side.

The links page looks like a mess, its hard to read some of the text due to the font or font size. Just a bit more space between the text would give it a much cleaner and organized feel.

On the bio page, you need more white space around the image. Is that the best image of her? Its nice, but i think a head shot image would be better suited.

I'm not a big fan of adsense on personal blogs such as this one. I doubt the site will ever make much money off the current ads and placement. Defiantly remove the ads if your going to sell the art.

i like the look of the site and the idea for a gallery down the side, i thought maybe you could try and utilise the space down the side for advertisent

I just placed those banners to see how it looked and if I seen any clicks.

We sell the most art at the shows, I want to incorporate a shop into the site somehow, but right now ppl are finding the site from our business cards.

As for the Bio page, I agree, we need to get an updated pic

That one is from the old site.
I'd like to put a buffer around the images so the text isn't as close, I just need to figure out how to do that.

I'll see what I can do about the links page, this was copy and pasted from the main site as well.

About the gallery, and info.. these pages

ya, I was showing it to my teacher today and he said the same thing
guess I have to figure it out, I want it to be automatic, I don't want Alissa to have to mess with adding padding code w/e she uploads a pic.
