I used to use something like that for WP 2.5 but was never updated for the newer versions.

You could always just have a look in awstats from cPanel.

I suppose an experienced plugin creator could take the code from vbulletin and port it to wordpress and use the same spiders.xml file.

I might take a look if I've got time but I have no idea where to start with a WP plugin lol.
