Showing the Date in the google listing?

I've looked all over the top of this post
Washburn hosts Casnocha
and just don't see "Jul 17, 2008"

It's from the date when it was posted, must be up top when shown in view source and goog can translate the WP post like that

well that's what I was thinking too, but on the post, the date is down at the bottom, and according to the source, I can't find the date that is listed

that is what i see in the page source, might be in the wrong spot though...

Perhaps it's the date that Google Crawled it?

Also if you're signed into your Google ACcount and have web history enabled you will see the number of times and date you last visited that URL.

idk if it was really important to him, he was just baffled as to how exactly google figured out how to find it and tag it properly when it wasn't in the right spot in the code....

GL2814, maybe he didn't want blog posts that show up in Google to look old, some people prefer only new information. Of course I could be completely off base and he's just curious how it happened, as Caddy suggested.
