Multi-Quote feature

Greetings,

I am looking for a different quoting-function rather than the current 3.6 Vbulletin quote-button. I actually liked their previous one better, where you could quote multiple people in a 'quote pyramid' type deal. Instead, they added the feature of quoting multiple people, but not in a pyramid fashion.

What I am looking for is how to 'fix' the html behind the current Quote Button in order to make it work like the old quote function (pyramid style)

Here is an example of what I want:

I heard it was do-able, but I'm not quite certain on how to go about it. I hope you're able to help me customize my board a bit more!
