Reading up on the tweets for @BobBrisco - I admire people who can put so much into 140 letters lol. |

It is a bit clumsy but could have had a lot of promise if they had focused on Categories etc
thanks again |

Thanks
or we sit and wait to see if the plug gets pulled on all these vB sites and we turn to drupal |

I think it's odd how you get banned from vb.com for supporting other scripts |

| no clue my only interaction with Vb since 2005 is restricted to renewing my licenses never tried their other services but when your customers start complaining about you and do it in abundance then you are playing with fire...Human tendency is such that we forget the good but remember one bad experience and dont stop talking about it ... i should know i work in the Service Industry bad publicity through word of mouth can be extremely damaging if i was VB I'd sit up and take notice..One of the biggest blunders to do as a company is to not acknowledge that there's an issue and then address that via positive communications which i feel is the case here...Bigger names than IB have suffered due to this in the past...

As vBulletin has grown over the years we have often allowed posts on our forums which frankly are not constructive and which other companies would not allow on their sites. We have done this in the belief that most people can be reasonable and conduct themselves maturely and constructively. We still believe that most people act this way.
However it is clear that this policy has only opened the door for types of conduct and comments that are simply over the top and not acceptable. This is going to change as of now.
Please be aware that we will no longer allow posts with non-constructive rants, inflammatory language and trolling on our forums. We are aware that some people are used to being allowed to get away with such things. But beginning now that will no longer be the case. Such posts represent a distorted picture to current and potential customers and while we would like to be able to trust people to act maturely, events have proven that is simply not possible. We will, of course, continue to respond to real questions.
To the vast majority of our customers that have supported us over the years and that have responded to the vB4 Pre-sales event positively with their record orders, we say thank you and will do everything in our power to reward your faith and vote of confidence with exciting new things for the future.

| Re: vbulletin.com updated to 4.0? The God's of IB have spoken!
It has all turned out to be somewhat rather pathetic as to what they are doing on the vB site and how they are hadnling this 4.0.
People post on the "Licensed Customer Feedback" forum and if there is now any negative "feedback" I've seen (and admittedly been a part of) posts, entire threads removed, warnings handed out and members being banned! I've seen much bigger enterprises than vBulletin/Jelsoft/IB or whatever they wish to be called crumble and fall and it won't be long before they also fall into the abyss with their arrogance. I'm finished with them....'nough said. vBulletin |

What on earth is going on over at vBulletin.com , it appears that they are just pretending that nothing has happened!
I think they would get far more respect if they just came out and said we apologise we didn't realize how strongly you all felt about the license changes. Forum Moderation Announcement - vBulletin Community Forum

And again, I am not impressed how it looks.
And reading that message from Steve I get more and more the feeling we are in a country of dictators.
I agree it is not good for new customers, but to stick your complete body in the sand is just insane. Find the source of the probs and solve them like a gronwup and not as a bully.

| Re: vbulletin.com updated to 4.0? Hey Juster,
I wouldn't take the speed of vb4 on that site at face value, the server is probably based on a test box over in Asia somewhere. (just my guess as I thought same as you).
To be honest if I was a new customer needing forum software and just based on default looks I wouldn't pick vb4 |
