Re: Did you see the Macbook Air!!!

If I ever did get that, I'd erase the entire Apple OS (there are ways around it) and then just put some form of linux on the machine.
Don't get me wrong, the size is cool, but its not as impressive as it looks when you look and notice that the reason it is so small is it is missing a drive. That is what makes most computers that thick currently. I'd also like to know how the heat dissipates in these.

It's all hype and advertising by them and it sucks when you have to have a Mac, as well as a Windows computer so that you can do what you've got to do. Kids with macs are just full of smug (Southpark, but it's true).
I'm 39 with a iMac after being a Windoz user for 20yrs I won't ever own another one. I have not had to use a Windoz computer ever since I moved over to Mac, so I don't see any reason why anyone would need both, unless your a kid that sits and plays games on a Pee See.. Seriously a Mac will even run windows and does a better job of it, check out PC world for the article. I can run windows and Leopard at one time in two different windows, and drag and drop apps, files, docs. etc between the two. Even Games..LOL

I have I've used Vista, XP, and OS-10.5 I bet you have rebooted your Pee See more that I have because it has froze up.. OS-10.5 is much more stable.

Using a Mac has nothing to do with being cool, I was cool before I owned a Mac, Now I am just more productive because I don't have no Pee See.

Ummm No. I'm running XP and never have any problems. I build my own computers, install my OS's and do everything else myself. Anyone who has freezing problems after that is doing something wrong. Right now my uptime is 8 days, and its only that low because I just moved back to my apartment for college. I'm not sure what you do to crash an OS that much, unless you're just saying it to attempt to prove Macs are better.

All apple is doing is getting after the "Ohhh... ME TOO!" crap like they've done for a while. I sit in class and watch these retards spout their stuff about windows being for "idiots" and people who can't use a computer when in reality Macs latest stint has been targeting people who find Windows to be too "hard". Give me a break.

I work in tons of Architectural Design programs, mapping programs, and many other things, and the way windows handles these programs is better than Mac. I can build my own machine that works with windows that just destroys what all the mac lovers use with their G5s and Up, and still have 1/2 the money left.

And truthfully, I'll take a Linux Distro like Kubuntu before either of these. And it costs quite a bit less than both and functions just as well.
Which is quite sad for both Mac and Windows if you think about it.

@Brandon: You gotta teach me how to boot windows off my flash drive
@Others: I never boot my PC because it doesn't freeze... I never got hacked, with the money to buy a MAC, you can either buy 2 good dedicated servers or 2 very good laptops here.
It's too expensive for nothing.

I Love mac people...
Even if we did add 2k, you really think it'd add 17 more flaws per month?

I'm not going to bicker with you like a 5th grader over who's better. What works for you may not work for me. I don't have anything against a Pee See I just wanted to try something different and ended up, I like the iMac MUCH better.I have built PC's too very easily done, I have a 7yr old that is working on buildeing her own PC so it ain't rocket science. Yea the Mac cost more and so does a pair of Air Jordans verses a pair of converse, what's your point? I bought a iMac in December and I'm not broke nor do i regret it. I say if you got the money to buy it then buy it..

Have a good day, I'm off to the Apple Store to spend more money
