| Driving Revenue to Your Forums! I was turned on to this by Andy @ fbodyonline. It's called Driving Revenue, and they have optimized their products for vBulletin Owners!
Here is some info pulled from their site: Quote: | Specifically designed and optimized for vBulletin, our patent-pending software works by dynamically finding and appending your existing outbound links with a tracking code so that you earn revenue for driving sales to our partners. The original posted link is not modified, making this completely transparent to your members. Affiliate vB easily installs directly into your AdminCP as a plugin.
| This is what I'm using in our new Webmaster eBay Auctions section. Right now I'm just trying out the eBay campaigns, but as you can see, there are many, many more to pick from. I might try out the New Egg, or some of the hosting programs as well.
It's free to apply, and all you do is add a piece of java script in the footer of your site, and all links (eBay in this case) will have your affiliate info.

Hello *****,
Thank you for your interest in DrivingRevenue.com. After reviewing your application, we have found that it does not meet our minimal requirements. Therefore, we’re unable to accept you into The DrivingRevenue Program at this time.
We did not approve your application for the reason(s) listed below.
Issue:
- Little or no outbound links to our retail partners
Explanation:
The core program of DrivingRevenue works by dynamically changing outbound links to our partners into revenue generating affiliate links. If your site does not have these types of outbound these links, there is not a way to monetize the traffic.
If you would like to submit another website for consideration, simply reply to this email and provide us with the URL.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
Regards,
The Driving Revenue Team |

| Re: Driving Revenue to Your Forums! This is why I got the phone call..
I told them that I would post an RSS feed like I had seen on Andy's site F-Body Ebay Auctions - F-Body Online
Feel free to reply and link to his site or ours as an example Webmaster eBay Auctions
That is, if you want to make similar "ebay auction" forum sections and using an RSS feed to pull the auctions. Quote:

| Re: Driving Revenue to Your Forums! You can do it by using conditionals, however your users will never know this is there, so why bother.
I have been going for two days now and have made a few bucks in the 2 days. I know it can and will do better.
I got to start encouraging my users to post full ebay urls. As many of them not wanting to spam have just been postiing the item numbers. |

which if that is the case, the conditions would only effect that group, so if group A posted an affiliate link, only group A could see the original links, everyone else including guest would see the site owners affiliate link
Maybe I misread, but that's how I took the question and why I answered that it was all or nothing |

Maybe I misread, but that's how I took the question and why I answered that it was all or nothing | Here is the way I took it...
He shows ads to all his unregistered and non verified members, but does not want to show ads to his registered members. Or perhaps he has a donars user group which he does not want to see the ads.
While Driving Revenue is invisible to user it can possibly slow down the loading our your pages since it needs to get info from an external server (Driving Revenues)
So if the poster wants only to have the driving revenue code for certain usergroups he can set it up as follows:
<if condition="(in_array($vbulletin->userinfo['usergroupid'], array(1,3)))"> DrivingRevenues Code Here </if>
Now the DR code only is run on those two usergroups 1 & 3.
Someone mentioned making a EBAY RSS feed for my site. Thats a great idea, I will need to find out how to make a RSS feed from ebay. |

| Re: Driving Revenue to Your Forums! ah I see Scottct1 but I'm not sure it slows the pages down "that" much
here is how I'm using it on our site Webmaster Auctions
all these threads are feeds from different sites
here is the list of sites you can use Driving Revenue
and like if i were to go to this pcworld one and post a link to this laptop Samsung NC10 Black Netbook - Cheap Samsung Netbooks. Buy the Samsung NC10 Black Netbook at PC World.
and someone would happen to click to it and buy it, I would get a cut
So the threads would be there, unless you just showed that section to all groups but the sponsors |

I've actually noticed it slowing the page down a few times now, I'm going to think about giving this a shot.
The only thing that I'm concerned, is if I leave a group out and they might make a purchase, I would lose that sale. Quote:
