We'll post an official announcement soon, but yes, the site was sold.
I just don't have time to really promote the site like I did before Leo came along.
I'll still be around these forums to help out and so will our mods, but I won't be as active as before.
To answer a question at AA
It has nothing to do with money or the way vBulletin is being ran/developed
It's purely a time issue.
I do hope the loyal members of vBSetup will embrace Crowdgather. I've been friends with them for years and they have a great vision and only want the best for our forum as well as their other ones.

| Re: The site may be down during the next 48 hours Thanks for understanding everyone.
I really think this will be a great move for vBSetup in general.
Crowdgather has some awesome resources that can really help this forum. (not that it needs a lot of help, it's doing great, but every bit helps)

| Re: The site may be down during the next 48 hours regardless of changes, i am apprehensive. and not even apprehensive on how well crowdgather can manage the forum, but the fact they are a corporation for lack of a better term.
i post here and help cause i like people, in this case, Brandon, i think he is a good guy and if he owns vbs, me being here, and helping people, in turn, helps him.
im not faulting anyone, seriously, people do what they gotta do, i have thought about selling my sites a bunch of times when i hit hard spots in the road. just how i feel i guess hate to be a downer. |

| Re: The site may be down during the next 48 hours WOW!
On one hand I'm VERY excited for you Brandon because I know that the time you put into this site and the Twitter accounts and such is something that you deserve to get paid for.
But, on the other hand, I'm a little sad that you won't be running things anymore. I'll still be around and plan to for a long time, but I was really a member here because of the "personal" touch that you, your staff and our other members gave. Hopefully everyone will stick around and things won't change too much (unless it's for the better, of course ) because I have always praised the community here on vBSetup!
Congratulations Brandon! |
