Re: Gardening Forum - The Grow Spot

We'll work on that

First we need to get your site SEO friendly, I see your using vbseo, that's great !
You might want to only show the archive links to the Main categories only (to guest).. it's one of the archive options.

Also, you may want to add to the forum descriptions a little more.
I don't know much about your niche, but I would change this...
Discuss Organic Gardening here.

to

Discuss and debate Organic Gardening here. Some of the newest organic tips include using XXXX while your planting your plants. Oh and to use XXXX while you XXX

Maybe try and throw some more keywords in the description, hope that makes since to ya.

Very nice clean site. I personally don't even use a Archive because it's debated to be "duplicate content" as the live links to your actual threads.

Its a pretty debated thing, but if it is true, duplicate content can really hurt your ratings, so I just disable the archive.

Re: Gardening Forum - The Grow Spot

hey Rocket442, thanks for the feedback. I was wondering what to do about those. I liked Brandon's idea of hiding them from logged in users, and only showing main forum categories.

Re: Gardening Forum - The Grow Spot

We actually have our archive disabled all together like Rocket is suggesting.. I was just saying if you are going to use the archive links, then just show them to the guest
