Re: Webmaster Forum

guess first thing to improve is 'how to change your welcome header in an image' Do a search on this forum for a complete walk true from Brandon.

also the links in the header under the search are hardly visible. Maybe try to make them white

Re: Webmaster Forum

I didn't really post the forum here to have reviews and critics done on it, but I guess it all helps.

I'm not quite sure on what you mean by the links under the search needs to be changed white. Where is that located as all the links I can see are white. Do you mean the "affiliates search box" or the forums search link?

Also, why does that welcome message need to be an image. Is it because of duplicate content and the search engines?

SE's read from top to bottom, having that text on all pages is taking away from your keyword density ;)

Thanks for adding the site

Re: Webmaster Forum

I thought it would. Don't worry I've been doing seo for over 7 years and online marketing so I know how to get a site ranking. I missed out on that part though and will now look into using an image instead.

Just wondering why you just ranked my forums 1 for everything? Is it that bad? The forums design was done by myself via notepad and graphics programs, which took sometime to do.

Re: Webmaster Forum

Very Sharp forum. Simple, geometric, but you pulled it off very nicely.

Re: Webmaster Forum

Thanks for that, just wondering what browser you are using and are you waiting for the whole site to load. The reasons for this is because from the image that you have show, it looks as if the background images didn't load for you. I have used background images via CSS and the site looks totally different when they have loaded which they normally do.

From what I have seen the site loads perfectly in the latest browsers of IE and Firefox, but the background images doesn't seem to have loaded with you for some odd reason.

I didn't rank it for anything, these are the settings if you don't pick anything.

As for your statement, I've been doing seo for 3 years and building forums for 6. It's up to you if you want to make your indexed pages better, we're just trying to help ;)

Re: Webmaster Forum

That's fine, I was just curios on the rankings. As to the SEO, yes thanks for the advice about the image. As soon as I get time I will be looking into adding that instead of the writing.

Thanks everyone for this tip as i would have not picked up on it, even though I did see it mentioned in another forum or even on vbulletin forums, I had totally forget about it.

It's now on my list of things to do.
