Well the innocence folder (the one with the other folders in it like attach, avatars, buttons etc.) should be place in on your ftp directory like: public_html/forum/innocence

If your forum is located I guess inside the how public_html, then your innocence folder should be placed in public_html/innocence.

If images aren't showing up in your portal software like vbadvanced you may want to check out this FAQ from vbskinworks. It refers to making sure you have absolute image paths set for your style.
