It's just an audio swap on YouTube, sometimes I wish the clip was longer as I like the music too.
I have a lot of general questions about setting up my vBulletin install and I'm wondering where the best place to post them is. I'm getting the install done for me, I can research the SEO myself, I can do the coding myself too hopefully, I just have a few questions about my rank and DNS changes first.
I'd also really like to know exactly how to set up sub-forums as I have a lot of content and it's a constant battle for me to show my wares on the main page and still have it scrollable top to bottom in a couple of mouse rolls.
Thanks.
I've had a few ideas about SEO etc so I'll share them

YouTube is a pretty good way to SEO your site and content if it's relevant. I started with a simple text site then a MySpace then YouTube and my current forum.
In a way I've progressed and I've got
mydomain.com myspace.com/mydomain and
youtube.com/mydomain so they all link to my site's present URL and my forum until I replace the whole lot with my new VB install. Anyway, YouTube is where I do most of my advertising and it works pretty well to say my subject is so specialist.
I noticed that I can post links in full .. format in the video description and it shows up as a genuine link rather than just text or having to say mydomainDOTcom etc. I'm wondering if I could use HTML anchor text in there for further SEO but my instincts are telling me YouTube won't allow it.
I took the plunge and started filming videos about all the things I'm interested in but mostly physics and mathematics stuff as my gimmick I suppose. My content on video is all linked via subject matter and cross linked between my sites as well.
I've got a lot of videos about a lot of different topics on there now, both on my MySpace page and my forum in the form of embeds to keep folks on there while watching the vids.
The way I see it as I have 130 plus videos on probably 10 or so different and popular topics I have a large untapped source of tags at my disposal. Also YouTube ranks extremely high on Google, AOL Video etc, quite a lot of my videos are linked to from up to 5 different sites, it tells me so in my Admin for the vids and should say 'sites linking to this video' somewhere under each video.
I've had an American tv station approach me about using some of my content on their station but I haven't currently heard anything back. My channel was featured on the main page of YouTube at request of Sublynx I think it was (a YouTube editor). I asked if this was a random selection of my channel and they said no they noticed me and liked my stuff. I got about 30 new subscribers to my channel in the 2 or 3 days they featured my channel. I'd only been on the site for a few months when I got a feature, a great honour. Sorry, I'm not boasting I'm trying to say how great YouTube is if you can make some content relevant videos
What I was saying is that I can go back and edit the tags for each of my 130 plus videos at any time to make them rank better under certain terms. I can send out bulletins too saying I've upgraded to VB come and see etc. I'm just outlining my position so everybody can benefit from what's helped me SEO (so far) and hopefully I can benefit from your experience too.
This site is excellent, congrats to you all for the content. I spent nearly all day browsing the threads yesterday looking at everything I could to learn about running VB. I'm a trainee coder looking for practical hacks as well so VB is perfect for me to finally apply some of my theoretical experience for real.
