So I stumbled upon this forum when looking up some hacks on vbHackers to install on my new forum I am putting together.

One of the sites I own and operate - Detailed Image - high end auto detailing products, supplies and how-to articles - sells high end automotive detailing equipment across the world. We thought it would be nice to put together a site dedicated to educating people on how to properly detail their vehicles as well so I'm in the midst of creating Detail University . The home page is actually a WordPress blog so that when you comment it links you to the forum for discussion on that topic. I installed vB and WP last night and have them integrated, along with some hacks like vBSEO and some others. Right now the site is just an untemplated shell, but I'd love to hear any feedback you may have on the forum.

I look forward to spending time at this forum, since there is a wealth of information and help here and I have a bunch of forums I plan on setting up in the near future.

Thanks for the welcome. I had a chance to throw up a template last night both for the wordpress and vB, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if anyone has come across this but do you think search engines would count the blog entries that link directly to a forum thread as duplicate content and penalize me for that?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

as for your question, can you make the title of those articles a direct link to the thread ?

if so, I would try and do that. It looks like you'll have other both on the blog that aren't the RSS feed ? if so, that's what I would do.. So your still getting new fresh content up with the RSS, yet your still adding pages to the blog with the none RSS post.
