Adsense earnings down?

Anyone see a drop in adsense earnings per click? I amd doing 4 cents a click average today....booooooo

when i first started Arny i was the same as you thinking "how could people possibly make money with this crap" but it does work once you get your placements right and your traffic up. i average about $4 a day, today though is weak, im up to 8 cents...lol

Wow. I have tried everything and I am lucky to get 2 or 3 dollars a day, much less 4. I don't know, but it seems to me that Google is the one that makes the money. I tried advertising with them (adwords) and it costs so much. Now, I do the adsense thing and my site gets a check once every three or sometimes four months. Nothing to write home about, but I guess every little bit helps.

At $4 per day, that pulls in abour $120/month avg. Which would definitely more than pay for my costs involved in running the site. That's over $1400 per year. Not bad for a little code that you add onto your website.

it does seem like a little job to just plunk that code in, but tracking, testing, tweaking, moving, tracking again, finding good spots, etc, takes lots of time, and time is money

sometimes it'll put a smile on your face, sometimes makes you want to rip the code out.

I remember once checking my adsense and i got a $10 click, i nearly fell out my chair! that was only once though

IDK it just happened, it was months and months ago. I checked and had 1 click for the day and earnings were at $10......i nearly broke my face smiling...

That's interesting. I haven't had any luck with it so far. But, I'm waiting to move around a few of the ad locations to see which ones work for my Disney members. We're always special, those Disney fans.

that's the biggest thing IMO, moving them around, changing colors etc, every few weeks. people that visit regularly will go "blind" to the ads and make them in-effective. it's a somewhat proven occurrence, google "ad blindness"

I'm going to have the custom "welcome header" done in the next couple of weeks and do that ads next to the header thing.

That should help with the clicks, I would assume.

I was such a fool to shut down ArcadeMania... it was making me at least 5$/day...
The other forum which has WAY more members and activity barely gets 3$/day... heck, the last couple of days brought me 1.x dollars :|

im seriously buggin a little now....

i made 60 cents yesterday, a dollar the day before, and im up to 4 cents today

i was making 4-5 a day in the last few months.......

any advice? somebody hold me

Yesterday at this time I had 2-3$...so far today I have 4 cents

Yesterday was one of my best days that I've kept track of at 7$ for the day

About a month ago I was making around 3.00/day. Now I'm back down to around 2.00 or so.

My site also doesn't get much traffic, when the traffic increases I'm sure my adsense will go up as well.

i've had a considerable spike in traffic, another factor of the equation that is bothering me. with the traffic im doing now, ballpark, i should be making 4 a day or more. now im up to 5 cents

The most Ive made in clicks till this day was like 2 dollars and change. I removed adsense off a few spots on my forum and now Im only making about .30-.50 cents a day. Before I upgraded I made average 1-2 dollars. Im probably going to end up taking it off completely soon.

well after reading much on adsense and theory i am testing something i read.

i read that the less adsense units you have, the better quality ads will be more concenrated on the less units, that equals more money

this is perfect for me, 95% of my clicks are on my top big square

i killed all my other ads on the homepage tuesday night and guess what, earnings for wednesday are up, and today i got a click so far for over 50 cents, that is a improvement, plenty more time to continue to test though....

I've been getting some 70 and 80 cent clicks lately and even hit a couple dollar day (which is big for me

) as our traffic continues to climb.

But, interesting about the less units piece.
