| Google Ad Manager Some people were starting to discuss Google Ad Manager in another thread and I thought I'd make another thread for it, as I'm curious to see if anyone has been accepted into the beta test. If so, how does it compare to OpenAds (OpenX, apparently)? Does google take a cut or do you get it all and they just make their money with your unsold inventory? When will it be out of beta, any ideas? |

Seriously, I haven't signed up for it yet. But, I'd be interested to see how everyone does with it. |

It should have no limitations like that, however if you're using google adsense through the ad manager you've still gotta obey the TOS. |

| Re: Google Ad Manager I have to say I agree with TylerN. It's obnoxiously overcomplicated for no reason.
On top of that, I don't see where I can add just a Single Cost Item (for example just sell a year worth of a 468x60 banner at a flat rate, not CPM or CPC). If it doesn't do this, I'm really not interested in it so If anyone knows how let me know. |

You could just make up a bull$hit CPM price and just charge the people a flat rate. It really is way overcomplicated from what I've seen than it needs to be. |

| Google Ad Manager goes GOLD! Google Ad Manager Release Notes September 11th, 2008
Hi Ad Manager Administrators,
We're excited to announce that Google Ad Manager is now globally available to all publishers with an AdSense account! You can read the full announcement on the Inside AdSense Blog.
In addition to the public release of Google Ad Manager, we also have some great new features, troubleshooting tips, and updates to announce.
Troubleshooting Tips
Do you ever wonder why an ad is not delivering?
We recently released a tool to answer this exact question. This tool will allow you to easily view the real-time decision making process that Google Ad Manager uses to determine which ad to serve.
To use this tool, please do the following:
1. Append ?google_debug to the end of any URL of where you would like to view the Ad Manager delivery ranking. For example: Example Web Page
2. This will open a new window showing the Google Debug output.
3. To view the delivery ranking for any ad slot, select the link that says 'Details'. Note: You must be logged into your Ad Manager account to view the next step.
4. Once you're directed to your Ad Manager account, you will be able to easily view how Ad Manager determines which ad to serve. For more information, please visit the following link.
Updated Features and Recent Improvements
• Additional languages - Ad Manager is now available in several additional languages. For a complete list of languages that Ad Manager supports, please click here.
• AdSense report - You previously had to go to your Inventory reports and manually add AdSense criteria to your reports. Now you can quickly view your AdSense performance by generating an AdSense report.
• Exclusive line item pricing change - Exclusive line items are intended for time-based campaigns; therefore, they deliver in a different manner than your impression based Premium and Standard line items. As a result, you will now only be able to set the cost type for Exclusive line items to CPD pricing.
If you have any additional questions about today's release, we encourage you to visit the Ad Manager Help Center, our complete resource for all Ad Manager topics. Also, feel free to join the Ad Manager Help Forum to share any questions, comments, and best practices you have with other Ad Manager users.
Sincerely,
The Google Ad Manager Team
hot off the email |

| Re: Google Ad Manager goes GOLD! well, i suppose that if you know how to work it and market your site you will. many advertisers would probably prefer to get paid per CPM then per random time period |
