| Has anyone created a .pdf (or other form) Media Kit for their site to "sell yourself" to potential members?
I'm in the process of creating one to hopefully help attract more vendors and advertisers to the site. |

| I doubt my site's big enough to warrant a media kit. |

| Great idea
Whilst I dont have it in one kit I have components.
It's good to get stats for the nerds, they love them. Tree World Stats for Advertisers
And video presentation
If any members would like video help I'll put my hand up. I have extensive experience in this area, can do any file format, flash overlays, music, effects etc .... have made over 300 videos and peaked at 120gb downloads per month.
In fact, for those who are out there on hammer and chisel type operations (hands on rolls) I'll let you know that I have taken reporting and documents to the next level.
With most files being transported via electronic media the old courier or postman isn't what delivers your next presentation or report ... it's the internet that does.
That means when the recipient is viewing it he's most likely on a PC and connected to the net.
I do tree and development reports and embed video media. They're reading a PDF and can click a link to watch, right there on their PC video of the event, or commercial etc.
I encourage all to break out of the traditional mindset, and take your forum or business to the next level electronically. |

| So far, we don't have an official media kit, as I do not think one is warranted just yet. We do, however, have a video, which has gotten very nice reviews. As the summer progresses, our site's recruiting methods will become more progressive, and hopefully bring in some fresh perspectives from new members.
Our first video, below, is just a simple, 41 second promo. We're going to release another video soon, as we draw closer to completion of a total conversion mod for KOTOR II.
EDIT: tried every Youtube code I know of, nothing worked... what is the bbcode here for youtube vids? |

| I feel the more you do to make your site look as professional as possible, the more likely you'll be able to attract big advertisers.
My site is different than most in that I'm looking for private company advertising more than google adsense. I make a decent check with adsense, but private could net me much more if I get it rolling right. Just trying to find the right way to do it now. |

| I'm the same way here Rocket, I know that if i could be taken seriously by local DE companies i could crush adsense income. It's just breaking into it.
I am compiling a big list of email addy's for DE biz's and will be sending out a mass mail in the next few weeks to pick up some people.....
whats better for a DE biz but to advertise on my site for cheap and directly target their market.....right? |

| I guess some businesses are unknowing (read: afraid) of online advertising, maybe you could cut them a deal (i.e first month free) to get them in; once a few businesses start advertising more should hopefully come |

| We have a subscription e-mag for our advertisers. They get it every month for a year if they buy advertising, it contains and updated media kit depending on how much advertising they payed for. Its sort of like a personalized media kit with some articles on how to get the best ad spots on my site and some useful downloads for advertisers.
We ahve an editor who gets a bit of what we make in advertising profit Its our system!
