| Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? I'm not a huge board but have been doing pretty well from AdSense.
I've noticed my CTR has just fallen off while my traffic has jumped. It doesn't make sense. Historically I've averaged a CTR of 0.30% the past month or so I got just 0.12% huge decline.
Have you had the same? |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? I would go with the Adsense blows theory. It always seems to suck. They used to be really good, but unless you have a seriously huge forum or some well picked niche, adsense doesnt like to be consistant anymore. I noticed same drops on a couple of sites myself where the traffic had increased by over 100% |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? Have you tried filtering out some of the lower paying ads?
I'll do that time to time, it seems to help
but honestly, I haven't been checking my adsense in a while
I'm just happy when a check comes in the mail |

And then subtract your hosting costs from your checks and keep up with that monthly, you will notice it dropping...They have been for awhile |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? All my sites run the same ad code , i get 1 healthy check every month , as for server fees sponsors and supporters pay that ,
You must have some huge server fees , i have ads on ~10 sites and only pay for 3 of the servers monthly , $10 each for the shared server and $250/mth for the dedicated server for diesel bombers
the other sites with my code are clients as i do not charge for my services , i get my ads on there site and i help them get popular which in turn increases my revenue from there site , i will not accept payment for websites its a HUGE RIP OFF ! i would rather get a few $$$ a day for the life of the site and grow if they do then to get a lump sum and blow it on stuff i dont need |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? I have seen that the clicks for me have been going up (along with the impressions), but the total funds have been lower as of late.
Although, I've had my best month to date (making 5 straight months with increases) along with my most active month as far as visitors with just under 20K. |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? I keep the boat floating with adsense.
Last month I had 736,029 impressions and 6,924 clicks.
It depends on where you put the ads. Ads in the welcome header is a prime placement in my opinion. And that's only shown to guests on my forum. So if I wanted I could earn much more but that's not what it's all about, you need to consider the members too.
@Brandon, how do you filter out low click ads?
EDIT:
I've found the filter section but still not sure how you know which urls are offering low price clicks.

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? Well i googled it and basically there is no real way to know, look at the advertisers site, if it is legit and a real service they are selling or providing they probably pay well. if it is a site with a bunch of google ads on it, or referral links all over, they probably dont pay well....
there is a way to setup channels for advertisers so you can test i guess and compare to see who pays best but i haven't got that far yet. |

| Re: Noticed a dropoff in AdSense Earnings? Well it could be a fluke but i went and did the whole ad review center tab in adsense, checked out each ads site, blocked a few that were spammy and i thought might pay low, and it seems i am making doubleish what i was before.....
like i said, as with all things adsense, it could be a fluke, but that is what I am seeing. |

I did 3.3 million page impressions last month. However earning were down about 40% even though traffic was up. |
