| YPN vs Adsense Discuss the pros and cons for each. I would really like more informatuon on YPN, since I just applied for that. I have been hearing a lot about AdSense, but almost everyone and their momma has that. And the few that use YPN are praising it.
Just one of my questions...
How does the money work for YPN? Is it the same method as AdSense?
So yea, discuss it please. |

| Re: YPN vs Adsense YPN generally pays out more, but the ads are not very relevant to your sites topic. There is a lot of complaining about them with this. There have been several people who have had theirs sites disabled by YPN because of such low CTR. Not banned, just disabled.
If you are looking at getting ads that have relevance to your site, you can’t beat Adsense. Quick tip, just make sure you filter some of the MFA sites. There are several sites out there that show you the lowest paying ads.
Also, depending on your sites topic you may want to also look at Auction Ads |

| Re: YPN vs Adsense The auction ads seem like a pretty good place. I have several gaming people on there that are usually looking for systems or games...
As for the YPN, I guess they declined me for beta, they sent me a message saying they will contact me in the future for the original release, or when there is a spot open for beta. So right now I am using clicksor. Which I am "testing". I am only allowed 1 ad that I am aware of, I tried to add 2, and the 2nd wouldn't show up. And the ad has nothing to do with what is on site.
But I can't use AdSense. I had an account there before. And I banned a member on my forum, and he went crazy on the ads 1 day before google was going to review, and google said bye bye to me. I sent them several messages, none have been responded to and my account is still disabled. So now the way I see it, I don't want to be a part of an ad program whos customer service is so bad.
So yea, constantly searching for a good ad service. |

| Re: YPN vs Adsense The cons for YPN is that you have to be based in the US and I think you only get paid for US traffic plus the targeting is not all that good compared to adsense.
With adsense you can join it from more countries than just the US. |

| Re: YPN vs Adsense It’s taking Yahoo forever to expand this program, especially to other countries. It's a shame that for publishers like me there is no real alternative to Google Adsense! |

| Re: YPN vs Adsense Well I have no choice but to look elsewhere than for Adsense.
I probably won't go with YPN, getting paid for only US traffic isn't too great, so I will be trying whatever else is out there basically. |
