Why not Register and remove some of the ads from vBulletin Setup
 | | Info on Text-Link-Ads? I just signed up, not sure what to expect.
Right now my site is ad free, but I figured some text ads would be a nice break-in to ads on the site.
I have had no luck with my old sites with google ads and those things.
Anyone use Text-Link-Ads, and if so any good info on it. vBSetup Team vBulletin Owner vBSetup Owner | | Join Date: Jul 2006 | Posts: 9,246 | Location: Topeka, KS | Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? Seems like I tried to sign up with them, or I did sign up but when I went to put them on the site, I ran into problems
I'll have to try again sometime, I think they work well once you get ppl buying links.

I would suggest Linkworth though.. | | Join Date: Mar 2007 | Posts: 306 | Location: Kent, WA | Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? I tried it for a little bit and found that I was better off selling them directly myself. Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? Quote:

I think I'll try both, and write a review for each in my blog. | | | Join Date: Jul 2007 | Posts: 75 | Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? I've bought a few from them but they are very expensive and WAY overpriced.
The cut is 50/50 so if your selling links through them your going to only get 50% of what is being charged which means you either need to price them way too high or take a huge cut in your profits.
If your buying them, its better to just search around on your own for sites that are selling links or contact webmasters in your niche and ask them about text link advertising. You will save a LOT of money.
A pr5 text link through text-link-ads will run you around $30 to $40 a month.
A Pr6 or even 7 link bought directly though a site owner will cost in the $30 to $40 range also. So you are going to get much more "bang for your buck" going directly. | | | Join Date: Jan 2007 | Posts: 35 | Location: Auckland, NZ | Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? I agree, they're way overpriced. They short change site owners and over charge advertisers.
At the moment I'm paying $135 a month for 2 links (PR6 site wide), but I'm going to stop after this month. Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? Well my site was up there for quite a while, and listed at 15 dollars and got no bites. I figured I'd try it and it didn't work out.
When looking at their site it looks like there are a ton of 15 dollar pages that get nothing, maybe they should re-think their pricing or something.
Maybe if you own a larger site they might work, but my vB site that I wanted it on has 175 members (pretty small) and got nothing near a hint of advertising. | | | Join Date: Jul 2007 | Posts: 75 | Re: Info on Text-Link-Ads? Quote:
