Linkworth Ads

LinkWorth | Search Engine Marketing - Text Link Advertising

Linkworth ads is much like Text-Link-Ads, but with a better payout, and in my situation created much more opportunity from potential advertisers.

The split for TLA is 50/50, while Linkworth is 70/30. I'd highly suggest it if you're one who doesn't want to or have time to manage your own links.

The only negative I have with it, is it is a bit overwhelming on their site and tough to understand at first, but when you do its not too bad.

Re: Linkworth Ads

I signed up on their site a couple hours ago.

I'll see how it goes after I get out of the "pending" status.

I was approved today and will look int getting them installed shortly.

That site is confusing as heck.

It's not reasonably simple to figure out how to get the code to publish links and earn income from them.

Yeah, that is my biggest complaint is how hard it is to understand how to really get started.

All you've gotta do is install this LinkWorth | LinkAds - Text Link Ads and then it will let you know when you've got a potential advertiser.

Re: Linkworth Ads

So I signed up with Link Worth and now I have 2 sites that want to place ads on my site....but I can't figure out how to get the ads to show up.

Since the links will rotate I need to use php to rotate them. They provide 2 different options:

File Inclusion with PHP
Local File Inclusion with PHP

The first would be better as it just makes a call to their site whereas the 2nd one I have to place a flat file on my server that would need to be updated when I accept more ads.

Here is the code I need to use for the first option:

PHP Code:
<?php

= @fsockopen("www.linkworth.com""80",, , ="5");
if()
{
   require
'http://www.linkworth.com/act/partner/rotating_ads/inclusion_links.php?prt_website_id=XXXXX&prt_website_link_placement_location=3&prt_website_link_placement_id=XXXXX&link_format=1';
}
?>
I know I can't put PHP code in a template but I'm not sure where to put it or how to set it up.

Can anyone provide any assistance?

Re: Linkworth Ads

To put PHP code in templates you'd have to create a plugin that outputs the code to a variable and then call that variable from your template

Re: Linkworth Ads

Thanks for the info. Perhaps you could provide a little more details on what exactly would be put in the "Plugin PHP Code" field. I'm also assuming I would use the "global_start" hook....

I just need a little more info. Thanks!
