Is anyone running an adwords campaign?

This month is the first month for me to really mess around with adwords.
It's a bit overwhelming at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Right now, we have 3 campaigns for 20$ a day. One thing I really like is we can pick what sites our ads will show on. So for instance, we have a scion forum, I can only show our ads on other large scion forums or websites.

I'm thinking about setting up a little campaign for vbsetup, but nothing right now.

So, does anyone else use adwords? if not, why not?

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure I will in the future. The previous owner of one of my forums told me he spent $50 and got 14 new members from it, but increasing the membership isn't a big concern any more.

Too expensive for me right now. Maybe later one I'd try it out.

Right now I have no plans to use Adwords for any of my forums, but I have been thinking of possibly doing it for one or two of my directories. And my mom wants to sell her handmade baby clothes and doll clothes when she retires, so I'm sure I'll be using Adwords for that.

i ran one with my motor bicycling forum when i first started. it was expensive but i needed to get my seo where i was found and a good part of that is content. i got members that way and they were posting and now my site is flying and i am making better then $300.00 a month on google ads and not taking long to get my investment back to get the site going. i think it was a very good investment

Re: Is anyone running an adwords campaign?

I just started a small campaign last night for vBSetup
To help promote the current contest, and maybe get some of those visits that I'm not hitting in the search results.. I've also targeted all the competing forums, I figure if these ppl are on forums already, then getting them over here shouldn't be as hard

Anyways,, I have it pretty low, 5$ a day budget.. so far I'm getting about .26 cpc which us usually less then what I make on adsense.

I'm happy with it, I just hope I'm able to make at least 3$ more a day on adsense, I would like 10$ more a day
