I've heard this name pop-up and see on around blogs, so I gave it a shot and signed up.

Lets all sign up and see what we can do. I'd say its one of the bigger social networking sites, it'll be here for a long time.

Also check out www.ping.fm, you can message myspace, facebook, linekdin twitter a whole bunch of sites.

Ping.fm is a must, I encourage everyone to check it out

you can get it to send to your IM clients.

It is micro-blogging. 140 characters or less to share your thoughts with the world.

Follow "kanter". Beth Kanter is a well know blogger and non-profit activist. She lives by Twitter to get quick messages about her work in Cambodia out to the world.

When the bridge in MN collapsed, it was all over Twitter instantly - faster than websites or live news could get it out.

My life isn't interesting enough to even warrant my blog. It's definely not interesting enough to blog about what I'm doing every 2 seconds. :rofl:

You gotta think, are people so permanently attached to a computer that their twitter every little trivial aspect of their life?

wow. You sure are a bunch of open minded people. You also hate text messaging on cell phones, don't you?

Don't slam the tool just because you don't immediately grasp it's application.

Yes I do hate text messaging

it's quicker to just hit "call" than typing up "yeah I'll be there in 5 min"

No disrespect man, I just don't see the coolness factor. Heck, I don't see the point on watching TV shows on a iPod with the small screen and all.

twitter has got a great deal of exposure lately due to the guy texting to Twitter when being arrested in Egypt.

It basically helped him be released because people on twitter activated a process of letting everyone no that he had been arrested

without the twitter system things could have been far worse they reckon and taken a great del longer for his release

who knows

How do you get followers? Do they know you or find out about you through other "twitters"?

I might have to twitter myself...wait, that didn't sound right. I might have to sign up for twitter. There's that's better.

I have ping.fm setup for all sites like this.
one message and it goes to my facebook, myspace, twitter xanga and a whole bunch of places
it's handy because I get just sent a message to their aim user and it will propagate throughout the network
