Paid posting services.

Does anyone here use or ever used a paid posting service to help get their forums off the ground?

What has your experience been over all with them, was it worth the money, did they provide good quality content filled posts, or was it a complete waste of money.

I have never done it but my mom has on Honeymoon Forums.

From what I can remember the posts were really good and helped a lot in getting her site off the ground.

This is the first time I heard of people paying to have people post on a board. I have no doubt that the services above do what the do, but does it actually help build the community or is it just a temporary surge of energy that dissipates once the paid members are gone?

I haven't used paid posting on my forum, however I had done few paid posting jobs on other forums. From what I have seen, for the paid posting to be successful, you need to ensure that the posts being made in your forum are of good quality and at the same time you are promoting your forum well to ensure normal people are finding it while the paid posting is being done.

Re: Paid posting services.

Sorry about the bump Mike, this was the most recent topic about paid posting services I found, and I felt like I was creating too many new threads. I'm new at creating a forum and found this very interesting and something that I may try out to get my forum going.

It sounds like it only works if you can draw "normal" people to the forum at the same time. That can be hard in itself, and I might just end up wasting money on the service, and have the paid posters talk amongst themselves.
