Im wondering if any of you guys or gals have tried this. I created a group no facebook with my forum name to promote. I made over a hundred friends already in two days on there two but my question is what would you guys post on your group to promote your forum? Im completely lost. Thanks..
Post up forum gatherings and cool topics via the news part of the site. That is one way.
You could also just send messages to the facebook group members about the forum and what are hot topics etc...
I have a page for my forum, and about 25 people on it but I haven't really pushed it yet. Once I get some time I'll try to find other people to add to it.

we have just under 150 members right now, we send out messages to everyone when we have announcements.
What I finished doing was post some of the hottest topics on my group. I also invited everyone on my friendlist to join and I have gotten 19 members on my group and also 2 registered on the actual forum. Im just going to keep adding People you may know on my list and invite to group. I over did it today though I got the message Im going to be hitting a block from making too many friend requests lol.. I'm going to be setting up a FaceBook page for the forum (and my social networking, WDBuddies - Where Disney Fans Become Disney Friends ... which got it's customized graphics added today! ) in the very near future. I've just recently added the MySpace page and I'm starting to get friends on it already.
