| Promoting with Myspace have you used Myspace to promote your sites ?
I have had some success in contacting some fans of a friends band. I've also seen some traffic for an arcade site using Myspace. I don't think it would help much here, but it's worth a try still :genius:
Have you guys had or tried to promote your sites with myspace ?

| Promoting your site with Myspace Here's a tried and true method for getting many visitors to your forum using myspace. First of all, if you are already on myspace, create another id. You might get shutdown for doing this. So, having said this, let's rock and roll!
1) Create a new id on myspace using the same name as your forum. (ex: if your forum name is WhateverDude.com , create your id of WhateverDude.com)
2) Upload a crazy pic. Those seem to attract more attention. You can use the attached pic if you like.
3) Join a myspace wh*re train. You'll get many friends adding you and you adding them.
4) Go through each friend and add a comment to their page promoting their site. You'll get tons of visitors to your site.
Advanced Users:
Before I tell you this, let me just state that I have NO AFFILIATION WITH ANY OF THE PROGRAMS I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU ABOUT EXCEPT FOR ME USING THEM MYSELF!
The methods that I just gave you take a while to do. Myspace limits you to 500 friend requests and 250 comments/day. That's still a lot to do manually. So, why do it? Here's your solution.
1) Auto Wh*re Train Joiner - here
2) Combo Pack (Auto Friend Request, Auto Messenger, Auto Commenter) - here
This method will DEFINITELY increase your traffic flow to your site! twins.jpg
I'll post some more things you can do, I had posted some stuff like this on an old site of mine, but had lost most of it |

Never been a fan of myspace as a personal thing, but it does work well as advertising  | |

I'd rather not use Myspace because of its infamous reputation as a place for child predators and what you just said. |

Were you trying to advertise vBulletin Setup at Myspace? Or another forum of yours? I see an Arcade here but I'm sure vB setup doesn't provide a proxy service or even provides links to them. |

| Re: Promoting with Myspace I've posted a few bulletins for vBSetup but I mainly used it to promote an arcade site I've since sold.
I still send out invites for my 3 accounts every now and then just in case I have a site to promote to that age group. I usually just forget about it and it sits on my desktop. |

| Re: Promoting with Myspace Thanks for clearing that up. Well my site is about operating systems; there could be some geeks like us (that's a good thing!) on Myspace, although I think most people on Myspace are into games, news, and iPods. |

| Re: Promoting with Myspace Promoting with MySpace doesn't really work well most of the times, unless you go spamming people telling them to join.
Social Networking is a better way of promoting. |
