Promoting Your Forums Via Myspace

Myspace is ridiculous in size and with this gives us forum admins an opportunity for some free promotion If you have a forum that targets teens to young adults then promoting via myspace is a great way to increase your forum member base.

What I have done is created a myspace profile for each of my forums that target such an audience. This is my Mustang Myspace profile page for my Mustang Forums: www.myspace.com/mustangevolution

Once you build up your member base you can keep them updated on cool news or interesting articles on your forum by posting bulletins.

Today I got 100 uniques from myspace alone tracking it with Google Analytics and have received a good bit of new members through it.

You use use robots to add friends to your page and you can use the robots to target particular interests or other myspace profile friends list insuring that you only send friend requests to the people with the most interest in your site subject.

I was using myspace a lot to promote some of my game sites and proxy sites but I've sold those sites and have sorta forgot about myspace..

I made an account for my vb site but I don't think it's very affective for vbulletin owners.. have you had much luck for this site ?

I don't have a myspace page for this site. It's just not worth it imo seeing the demographics of Myspace

I really need to get on the ball with this and set one up for one of my forums. Just can't seem to find the time.

Maybe I can get one of the forum members to do it.
