This looks very nice, I like the source link as your forum part
I may set this up to replace the post I have with @vbulletinfan

Features

Post to twitter using OAuth authentication.
You have your own application at twitter, so the tweets will be appeared from your website name. Attachment 100694
Only guest-accessible stuff is posted at Twitter.
You can exclude certain forums from being posted at twitter (See the page where you edit the forum info and settings Attachment 100710)
Integrated with bit.ly to shorten the thread URL, giving more space for title and preview.
Set it up once, and forget it. twitter's access token doesn't expire, unless you revoke the access permission.

How different is this with twitterfeed.com?

This hack is not intended to be an alternative to twitterfeed.com, however:
It may be safer than giving your Twitter-Login to twitterfeed.com (by redlabour)
Later, this hack will include more options so you have better control over what is posted at twitter. (like post only hot threads, or threads by certain usergroup, etc.)

1.0.2 just released!

New features:

vBSEO compatible (if available), so the URLs are rewritten before they get shortened. This will help to reduce the number of redirects as few as possible. (1.0.2)
The task prints valuable information when you run it manually, to help you diagnose problems when they happen! Attachment 100725

Plus some improvement and fixes.

I installed it last night. So far, I'm liking it alot.

Just keep in mind that it does not tweet new posts, only new threads.

how hard was it to get the "source" link setup

Brandon, if you just keep Milad's instructions open in a second window and pay close attention to his instructions and attachments, everything just falls into place.

I've never actually downloaded the zip
I just wanted to see if the source was setup, I see his "testauth" post on twitter everyday when I search vBulletin

now
