2dub has a spectacular aura about
Videos

I have an idea for making a series of videos to promote my forum by offering tutorials.

But If I'm going to do them, I want to do them well. And I know I would be out of my league. I've thought about contacting my local High School's A/V or Multimedia club to see if they could help, but that will mean waiting until Fall. What other ideas do you have for having quality videos done on the cheap? What sort of cost do you think I'll be looking at if I can get a video crew for a day and knock out 10-12 videos? I think I can do the editing with Windows Movie Maker for the most part, I just need a couple of cameramen (people) who know what they're doing.

Re: Videos

You can rent a really nice HD camera for about 300 bux a day. I have helped people do this before for college projects. And they give you a nice tripod with them. You could pretty much do everything you wanted in high quality in a day if you plan it out right. You dont need a crew unless your thinking of doing some sound dubbing. But with computers and editing software you can pretty much account for everything

Re: Videos

Its always better to just rent the equipment. Plus, its cheaper LOL But yeah with a nice HD camera you only have to buy the film and most of them have hard drives. So you can get out of buying that sometimes. I would suggest renting one that saves to a dvd. This makes it easier on you when you want to stick it on your computer and go. But with an expensive camera and a tripod you should be good to go.

Re: Videos

I like the idea, when it comes to dubbing, I will want to narrate about what's going on and why. I'll look into this.

Re: Videos

Well to be honest. It may be cheaper to shoot the videos yourself and then you could rent an editing room. I know they have them here where a professional can edit your video and add voice over and stuff. But you can do all that with programs such as Sony Vegas or something. But if your wanting to make something nice, you can get by this way doing it all under 400 to 500 bux. I helped a crew make a documentary for their college thesis once. It went really well. Plus, I got to play with a camera I never would have gotten to touch
