Great navbar tweaks, I always thought the FAQ kind of sucked since whenever I clicked on one I expected to see more specific info related to the forum I was on. And the calendar kind of sucks..... which sucks.... since I want one to post different music related events, etc, but I'd guess there's a plugin/product/something out there that can hook into vBulletin... but this is navbar talk, so I'll go away now and see what's out there, since now I know how to whip the navbar into shape and make it beg for mercy :1yes:

Re: Clean up your Navbar -and- Add Homepage Links

I use the vbAdvanced portal, and found that the code you placed at the end regarding the use Dynamic links, didn't work.

Here is a tweak I made to get it working as I think you intended.

Your original:
Quote:
<if condition="THIS_SCRIPT == 'adv_index'">

<a href="$vboptions[bburl]?$session[sessionurl]">

Forums
<else />
<a href="$vboptions[homeurl]?$session[sessionurl]">
Home
</if>
My tweaked code with help from your other code in this thread:

Quote:
<if condition="THIS_SCRIPT == 'adv_index'">
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/forum">Forum</a></td>

<else />
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="http://www.yourdomain.com/">Home</a></td>
</if>
This is on vB version 3.6.0 and vbAdvanced version 2.2.1

ah, the code got removed,, it must have been when I was playing with the hack that allows X group to post HTML.. it messed another thread up I had posted too..

Thanks

oh, I just looked and see you where talking about the last set of code..

thanks for the correction, I don't use vBa so it must have gone overlooked.

Ever since I upgraded to new version of vB which was 3.7 I dont have my quicklinks on my navbar. What code do I look for to find my quicklinks? I know its in my navbar template but thats about it.

Check the current navbar code against the standard templates navbar code.

Its near the bottom with the <!-- Pop Up menu --> comments

Re: Clean up your Navbar -and- Add Homepage Links

I love the navbar and the breadcrumb area and all of the neat things you can do with it.....

Looks better with 2 navbars (above and below the breadcrumb area. Also the Mood Manager and the User Avatar set it off really well.
